Day 2

Today in class, our buts were:
- To continue to identify foods and drinks commonly found in French cafés and restaurants
- To express hunger, thirst, and opinions of food

Our Mise en train was a quick written exercise to review some of the new vocabulary as well as the four courses that comprise a typical French meal. Make sure that when you study the vocabulary for this chapter that you are learning the gender of each word as well.

In 4th and 7th periods, we did a ball-tossing activity to practice saying "I'm hungry" and "I'm thirsty" along with the following expressions that you might use/hear in a restaurant:

Je voudrais... (I would like...)
Vous désirez? (What would you like?)

We continued to apply the new vocabulary and expressions in a game and concluded with a sondage (survey) activity that asked people to say what they thought about certain food items (delicious, disgusting, etc.). The survey can be found here.

No homework tonight!
